Very tasty food and a super friendly host. I had the char and that was a really good choice. I also learned that the char is also called salmon trout elsewhere and that lakes such as Starnberg and Lake Constance are actually too clean for the fish. In the past, all the wastewater from the surrounding properties flowed into it; today there is sewerage.

The four of us had dinner with you yesterday and we were all thrilled! The friendliness of the staff and the excellent steaks and side dishes absolutely convinced us. We will definitely be back very soon.

The best steaks far and wide. Top quality, fair prices (good meat should cost something) and nice service.

Very tasty steaks are served in the Landgasthof Schöntag. The prices are set correspondingly high, as here you pay for taste and quality. Other tasty dishes can also be consumed here.

Very good cuisine with a delicious menu. Large outdoor area should be reserved. Hotel in the price range is perfectly fine. Ideal with sunshine and nice weather.

Condition was friendly and the food was served quickly. All in all, everything was really good, only the steak and the manion fries lacked the finishing touches in terms of seasoning to achieve five stars. All in all, very recommendable and worth the price.

Nice service, good cake, small charming garden. A star deduction for the coffee: fully automatic plörre at it's best. Tip: talk to a regional roastery about varieties and preparation options.

Nice quiet country inn. Parking in front of the house is free. Prices are affordable and the rooms have a balcony. Cots are available and a TV is in the room. The rooms are clean and well maintained. The staff friendly and helpful. The beer garden invites you to linger. Starnberg can be reached quickly by car or Munich or anywhere else by motorway. The public transport is also well equipped.

Didn't reserve a table but were offered one. Food was very plentiful, tasty and the price was completely okay. Recommendable.

NEARLY PERFECT Spent a couple of nights here because we wanted to be close to Lake Starnberg. At the front of the bathing area there is a rental shop for pretty much everything a water sports heart desires! We had one of the attic rooms, it was clean and, despite the extreme outside temperatures, absolutely pleasant! The breakfast had a large selection from which you were always full, and if something was missing, the staff reacted quickly and brought more supplies. (We were served at the table - not sure whether it was due to a pandemic or always. I think the handling is great, compared to some other hotels because you can enjoy your coffee outside on the terrace in the morning sun) In the evening we went to the beer garden for dinner three times and tried something new every day and were satisfied every time. One flaw, however, and therefore not quite perfect, that my girlfriend and I never got our food at the same time. Nevertheless, the bottom line is very friendly and if we are in the corner again we will definitely come again!

I have been coming for many years and always receive a very warm welcome and service. And of course very important ... the delicious food, especially the grill hut, always make me go back there. Even if you live not far away from Munich by choice, the end of a day at the lake is like a real vacation day! 🍷😎

There's nothing like a juicy steak. (Salt, pepper, herb butter) One of my favorite steakhouse restaurant in Bavaria, steak was tender and juicy as it should be. As always the food was delicious until next time. For 5 stars :)
